3 things I actually walked into this week: massive spider webs, a cat door cut into a custom door, and a floor covered in dead spiders. None of those is expensive to fix. All of them made my buyers start looking for the next thing. That’s the part sellers don’t see. A buyer who finds one small thing doesn’t file it as one small thing — they start quietly pricing everything they can’t see. The crawlspace. The furnace. The roof. You handed them a reason to imagine, and imagination is always more expensive than a vacuum. The cat door is the one I keep thinking about. Somebody paid for a beautiful door and then cut a hole in it, on purpose, for a cat they loved. I actually respect it. But a buyer walking through doesn’t see the cat. They see a decision, and they start wondering what else got decided that way. The little things tell buyers stories. You just don’t get to pick which story. What’s the one thing that would make you walk out of a showing? #HomeSelling #ShowingReady #SellerTips #UtahRealEstate #CottageAndVintageHomes ⭐ Kelsey Earl, Keller Williams South Valley, 801-419-8917, [email protected], your lifelong friend in real estate
