It works the other way too — here's what to ask them. You're allowed to ask questions back. Why is the seller moving. How long it's been on the market. Whether an offer already fell through. What the seller's ideal closing date is. They may or may not answer — that's between them and their seller — but nobody's offended by the question, and the answers change what you'd offer. Same thing in a builder's model home: that agent is there for the builder, so ask them too. One question protects you, the other one helps you. What's the best question you've ever asked at a showing?
