Because the neighbor usually isn't the buyer. They're the one who knows the buyer. The person who wants to be 5 minutes from their daughter. The one whose parents are getting older. The friend who keeps saying they'd move if anything ever came up on that street. None of that shows up in a search filter, and nobody's going to find it by waiting. The only way to reach it is to tell the street. Two things worth knowing if you're the one selling: Ask what "marketing" actually means. Not "will you do an open house" — ask what's being done to reach the people already living there, and ask for it specifically. Timing matters more than people think. The street pays attention when the sign is new. Neighbor outreach a month in, after the house has been sitting, is a different conversation than outreach in week 1. Would you want to know if the house next door went up for sale? ⭐ Kelsey Earl | Your lifelong friend in real estate | Keller Williams South Valley | 801-419-8917 | [email protected] #UtahRealEstate #UtahHomeSellers #OpenHouse #SellingYourHouse #SaltLakeRealEstate
