A guy on LinkedIn messaged me this morning. He said he likes my content, that I come across genuine, and that I seem natural. Kind message. And then I sat in my car thinking about it for way too long. They’ve thanked me for picking up at 10pm. For reading the whole HOA packet, all 60 pages, and finding the one line that mattered. For driving back across town because they forgot the garage code. For telling them the truth about a house I would have made money on. That’s the job. The job is being the person who answers and keeps answering. I love this industry so much. I love that it’s one of the few where you can be hired entirely on whether you’re good to people. That’s the part I’d protect.
