I'm not debunking anybody here. A house gives off a lot of information that arrives faster than language does, and "it felt off" is usually a real observation with a physical cause sitting underneath it. The four I named are the ones I see most. A fifth I didn't have room for: air that feels stale usually means ventilation, not dirt — and it often shows up in houses that have sat empty, because nothing has been cycling. A sixth: deferred maintenance reads emotionally. When a house has had small things left undone for years, your brain registers neglect before you've consciously catalogued a single item. None of that replaces an inspection. A feeling tells you where to look. It does not tell you what it costs. That part comes from someone on a ladder with a flashlight. If a house has felt wrong to you and you never found out why — I'd like to hear what it was. #homebuying #houseshopping #firsttimehomebuyer #utahrealestate #homeinspection Kelsey Earl, journalist turned Realtor, born and raised in Utah, Salt Lake to St. George, 801-419-8917, [email protected], Your lifelong friend in real estate 🌟
